Questions about DeKalb County custody, release records, court orders, or supervision must go to the public office responsible for that record. The contacts below identify the most direct official route. Verify current office hours before an in-person visit.

This is a private website, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is held or released, pull an official record, accept a filing, change a record, or connect a caller to jail staff.

Choose the Record Custodian

For present physical status at DeKalb County Jail, call Corrections or the Sheriff's nonemergency line. Send requests for a booking sheet, release sheet, booking photograph, or jail movement record to Sheriff Records. Court orders and criminal dispositions belong to the Circuit Clerk. County probation and pretrial reporting are handled by Court Services, while state-prison custody and parole or mandatory supervised release belong to IDOC. Federal custody uses BOP, and ICE's locator covers current immigration detention rather than a historical release file.
